Essie McGraw

Essie Lee McGraw, 85, of Green Township, OH, a native of Lawn, WV, died on September 8, 2026.

She was a mother and homemaker, who loved to be with her family and was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.

She was the beloved wife of Leonidas “Scrub” McGraw who proceeded her in death; the devoted mother to Jeffrey (Kathy) McGraw, Gregory (Melissa) McGraw, Paul (Kara) McGraw, Daniel (Linda) McGraw, and Valerie (Sean) Hutson ; the dear daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (Steinbeck) Rookstool, the dear sister of Evelyn (Ralph), Margaret (Jim), Carolyn Jo (Rodney), the late Glenna (James), Madeline (Bill), Irene (Glen), Harvey (Patricia), and Dola (Ronald); the loving grandmother of 17, and great grandmother of 29.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, 283 Main Street, Rainelle, WV 25962, immediately followed by the funeral service. Burial will be at the McGraw Family Cemetery in Meadow Bridge, WV.
