Mark Jones

Mark Edward Jones, “Grillmaster” (because he always ran the grill), 73, of Edmond passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at his home.

He was born May 6, 1953; he was the son of the late Lee Ora Jones and Gladys Hurley Jones.

Mark is preceded in death by his sons, Timothy “Tim” Brown and Thomas “Tom” Brown; sisters, Shirley Hundley and Julia Dansburg; brothers, Walter Jones, William Jones and John Jones.

Mark was a member of the UMWA; He was a fan of WVU Football and the Green Bay Packers. He was a country musician playing in his local band, Kountry Konnection. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. His favorite enjoyment was spending time with his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Kathy “Kass” Horrocks Jones; daughter, Jennifer (Charlie) Cole of Mt. Lookout; two sons, Jeremy (Marsha) Jones of Victor and Travis (Amanda) Jones of King, NC; five sisters, Dorothy Patnode of NH, Betty Compos of NH, Marilyn Nelson of TN, Ruth Spencer of NH and Sarah Chesley of NC; grandchildren, Alyssa, Trent (Alexa), Taylor (T.J), Tristan (Aiden), Jenna (Kadin), Travis, Isaac, Rachel, Joe and Isabella; one great grandchild on the way; extended family and friends.

Service will be at a later date at Wallace & Wallace, Ansted.
