Nancy Sovine

Nancy Joyce Sovine, 88, of Nallen passed away on September 26, 2026 at Summersville Healthcare Center.

She was born of January 24, 1938 in Jacksonville, Florida; she was the daughter of the late Virgil Edward Russell and Martha Edith McCallister Russell.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, William B. Sovine; two sisters, Patricia and Susan.

She enjoyed tending to her garden and feeding the deer. She was a collector.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Teresa Slaughter of Kernersville, NC and a son, David Sovine (Alina) of Mt. Lookout; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
