Howard Scruggs

Howard Wesley Scruggs, 93, of Hines passed away on August 25, 2026 at Rainelle Healthcare Center.

He was born on September 28, 1932 in Rock Cliff, WV; he was the son of the late George Wesley Scruggs and Flora Hayslette Scruggs.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by all his siblings.

Howard was a member of the Beaver Creek Baptist Church, long-time President of the Rupert Pistol Club, member of Rupert Volunteer Fire Department and an Army veteran that was deployed in Italy during the Korean War.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Georgia; sons, Charles (Linda) of Meadow Bridge, Lee of Lewisburg, Bill (Tammy) of Nettie; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 28, 2026 at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville with Pastor Gary Eisenman officiating.
