Wayne Myers

Wayne Thomas Myers, affectionately known as Tommy, passed on August 18, 2026 at Lewisburg Health Care surrounded by family. He was born on February 14, 1937 to the late Thomas William and Mildred Hazle Myers in Parkersburg.

Also preceding him in death were his sister, Joan Diana Brookover, brother in law, Charles Brookover, and one niece, Mary Jane Brookover, Chichester.

Surviving are his wife, Deanna Myers, brother, Warren Myers (Janet), and his children, Derick, David, Juliana Vella, Anne Gallagher (Jimmy), Suzanne Borders (Keith), step-children Brandon Dooley, and Amy Brown (Stuart). Also, surviving are several grandchildren Candace Calhoun Hamilton (Brock), Elliott Calhoun (Alyssa), Logan Myers ((Alexis) Kyle Borders, Jules Borders, Nixon Brown, Jeb Brown, Grace Brown, Asa Brown, and great-grandchildren, Eve, Olivia, Juniper, Ronan, Hudson, Walker, Brooks, Lincoln, Lakelyn, Barrett, and several very special nieces and nephews.

Tommy’s greatest pride was in his faith in God, family, and country where he served proudly in the Army National Guard in Northern Ohio. His work history includes American Custom Vehicles in Northern Ohio that he founded and owned, manufacturing and designing book mobiles and various mobile units.

Tommy’s church family meant the world to him and supported him through his illness with prayers, cards, visits, phone calls, and meals. He actively served the Lord at First Baptist Fairlea through AWANA, VBS, Disaster Relief, and choir. He will be fondly remembered for his quick wit, storytelling, sense of humor, and his kindness and generosity to everyone.
