Thomas Harris

Thomas Richard Harris, 78, of White Sulphur Springs, passed away peacefully at his home on August 11, 2026 of natural causes. Thomas had fell ill a few years ago, back in 2023. He never recovered as his mind, body and soul declined and he succumbed to his illness.

He was born January 24, 1948 in Meadow Bridge, WV and was the son of the late Charlie Ray and Madeline Grace Lively Harris.

Thomas had worked as a dispatcher with C & O railroad (CSX) for 20 plus years, Had worked at the Greenbrier Hotel and the Greenbrier State Forest. He too had been a member of the U. S. Army Reserves.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, eldest brother Charlie Ray Harris, Jr.and his great grandson Chad William Hartley.

Surviving are his older brother Pastor Curtis Lee Harris, older sister Bonnie Grace Harris, younger brother Steven Russell Harris and youngest sister Leah Jane Harris O’Dell; ex-wife Barbara Darlene Carnell Harris; daughters, Barbara Ellen Harris White and Stephanie Lynn Harris Dunbar; and son Richard Lee Harris; grandchildren and great grandchildren.
