Rita Haynes

Rita Louise Haynes, (61), passed away on July 21, 2026 at her beloved home in Union, WV. She was the wife of Myles Leon Brandon, whom she shared 14 years of life together.

She was born May 13, 1965 in Ronceverte, WV and was the daughter of the late Mary Ann Cousins.

Rita graduated from Greenbrier East High School and was a well known employee at many establishments until her health prevented her from working. She was of the Baptist Faith. Rita enjoyed playing games, watching cinema, good food and taking a long nap. She will be remembered for her generous kind heart, tender soul and good cooking.

She is survived by her eldest son Anthony Villines, middle daughter ShaRita Villines and her youngest daughter Charlene Goss; son in law Jeremiah Abrams; granddaughters Addalyn Villines, Anayha Simmons and Zaniayah Scott She was preceded in death by her parents and all but two of her brothers and sisters, Lisa Haynes, and youngest siblings Tina Haynes, Mark Haynes and Curtis Haynes.

The Life Celebration will be held on Wednesday July 29, 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Pastor Greg Scott officiating. The family will receive family and friends from 11:00 AM until time of services.

Rita was a gentle soul whose hands and heart were always open. A woman of uncommon kindness and a generous spirit. She leaves behind the quiet reminder that love often found in grace, forgiveness nad the small mercies we give one another. May she rest in everlasting peace and her light carried forward by every soul she touched, held in memory and in the gentle truths we come to understand with time.
