Lindsay Syner

Lindsay Kane Syner, 72, of Ansted, West Virginia, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 19, 2026.

He was born January 17, 1954 at Edmond; he was the son of the late James William Syner and Edith Marion Campbell.

Lindsay was a Christian and a member of Mountain State Baptist Church. He was known for his extraordinary musical talent as a master guitar player whose God-given ability blessed countless people throughout his life and he left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Lindsay also enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid fan of Barney Fife and The Andy Griffith Show, appreciated good food, and especially treasured time spent with family and friends. He will be remembered for his blue eyes, gentle nature, quick wit, and the joy he brought to others through his music and friendship.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 52 years, Linda Syner; his sister, Martha Syner; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will deeply miss him.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Hospice of Southern West Virginia for the compassionate care and support provided during Lindsay’s illness.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia in Lindsay’s memory.

A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, July 23, 2026 at Restlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Mark Secrist officiating.
