Roger Bennett

Roger Dean Bennett, 72, of Danese passed away from a long fought battle with cancer on June 19, 2026 at his home.

He was born on December 18, 1953 at Hinton; he was the son of the late Clyde William Bennett and Nellie Gladys Lucas Bennett.

Roger worked for the railroad. He loved wood carving, collecting knives and loved his dog, Chewie.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Frances Bennett; sons, Stephen (Debra) Bennett of Rainelle, Matthew Bennett; sister, Nelsie Cales of Virginia; brother, Rex (Cindy) Bennett of Florida; grandchild, Everleigh Bennett; 2 special nephews, Michael and Derrick Martin; a host of nieces and nephews; friends and neighbors in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.

The family wants to thank Dr. Olexo, D.O. and Sabrina Ford, FNP-BC and staff at the Rainelle Medical Center for the exceptional care they provided for Roger.

Per his wishes, body will be cremated.
