Barbara worked in retail, and factory production. Her favorite hobbies were crochet and needle work and she earned many awards for her crafts. She loved spending time with her family and was over the moon to be Grandma and Memaw.

John enlisted in the U.S. Army active duty during which he was deployed to Korea in support of the Korean War. He also worked in Watertown TN as a police officer and a volunteer firefighter. He loved helping others and was very proud and honored to be serving the community.

John was an avid motorcyclist, a life time member of the VFW, and former President of motorcycle club Orange County Cruisers. He loved spending time with family and being Granddad and Poppy.

John and Barbara retired in 2009 and moved to Tavares, Florida. There they enjoyed their Thursday morning flea market walks, random trips to Dairy Queen for a banana split, and getting to ride their motorcycle anywhere they wanted.

They will be remembered by their 4 children Joan , Sally, Danny, and Angel; their 8 grandchildren

Eddie, Bradley, Christina, Timmy, Victoria, Jessica, Blake, and Cassie, ; their 18 great-grandchildren

Simon, Samantha, Ryder, Kailey, Liberty, Logan, Micah, Chloe, Brooklyn, Blakely, Aniston, Lorali, Ava, Evan, Kristalyn, Hailey, Brooklyn, James, and William; and their great-great-grandchild Grayson ;

Barbara’s beautiful sisters ; Pat Hess, Nancy Haymond, and Penny Fogus, and by all of their wonderful nieces, nephews, and friends near and far.
