Robert “Bobby” Workman

Robert “Bobby” Dale Workman, beloved father and even better man. He was loved by all that

knew him. 79, of Victor, West Virginia went to be with the Lord on May 11, 2026. Bobby was

born June 5, 1946 in Victor, West Virginia to Elva Ola Wilson Workman and Lonnie Levi

Workman.

He served in the United States Army elite 101st Airborne Division, “Screaming Eagles,”

“Rendezvous with Destiny.” On May 18, 1966, he got his Blood Wings pinned on his chest.

After serving in the military, Bobby moved to Ashland, Ohio and started his career working as

a machinist at Hydromatic Pump for 20 years. Shortly after moving to Ashland he met and

married Eura Kiser in 1974. She had four children, Steve, David, Laura and Vicki Colbert that

he called his own. The next year they had a son together, Lonnie Workman.

In 1987 he moved back home to Victor, West Virginia where he tended bar at Dexter’s Honey

Bee Tavern for several years. After that he went on to be an ATV safety instructor for more

than 30 years.

He was a faithful servant of the Lord. He attended several local churches over the years and

studied the Bible. He enjoyed watching all kinds of sporting events. He had a deep thirst for

knowledge of how things worked and how they were made. He was also an avid hunter and

fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with family, shooting pool, throwing horseshoes and

sharing a meal together. He greatly loved all his family and friends.

He is survived by children Laura Leiter, Vicki Piatt, and Lonnie (Heather) Workman;

grandchildren Christina, Kenny, Bill, Clinton, Courtney, Cierra, Caiden, Tyler, Brittany, Robert,

Rebecca, Bethany, Aaron, Michelle, Samantha and several great-grandchildren; sisters

Brenda Gross, Lillian (Barry) McClelland, Dorothy Trapp, Mickey (Chuck) Stevenson; and

brother Dexter (Tia) Workman.

He was preceded in death by father Lonnie Levi Workman, mother Elva Ola Workman, ex-wife

Eura Workman, children Steve Colbert and David Colbert, brothers James Workman and Virgil

Workman, sister Stella Workman, brother-in-law Jack Gross, sons-in-law William Leiter and

Donald Piatt, and granddaughter Rachael Frantz.

In lieu of flowers or memorial contributions in the memory of Bobby Workman, the family would

like anyone reading this obituary to help someone in need and reconnect with family and

friends that you haven’t spoken to in awhile. Life is too short to leave things unsaid.

There will be no service.

The family would like to thank everyone who knew and talked to Bobby. He greatly enjoyed

the company and conversations and considered all of you his friends.
