Ernie O’Dell, Jr.

Ernie “Terry” O’Dell, Jr. of McRoss passed away early Wednesday morning, May 13, 2026 following a long illness at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

He was born on August 6, 1955 in Richwood; he was the son of Ernie O’Dell, Sr. and Monna Joyce “Tiny” (Hamrick) O’Dell.

Terry was a member of the Rainelle Moose Lodge. He enjoyed hanging out at the K&S Mini Mart. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, and drag racing which he did himself.

Survivors include his daughter, Nichole Faith (Cory) Hinger of Martinsburg; three brothers: Freddie (Evelyn) O’Dell of Green Valley, Jeff (Kim) O’Dell of Leivasy and Joey (Brenda) O’Dell of Big Mountain; grandchildren, Dylan Koontz (Desarae) and his son Walker and Kaitlyn Koontz.

At his request, he will be cremated. No services at this time.
