George Gipson

George Roland Gipson, 76, of Rainelle passed away on Monday night, April 27, 2026 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.

He was born on January 27, 1950 at Rainelle; he was the son of the late Garland Fisher Gipson “Bus” and Mary Ellen Waselchalk Gipson.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, George Roland Gipson, II; sister, Faith Spaid and a brother, Richard Gipson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Thresa Lynn (Farley) Gipson; daughter, Holly Lynn Gipson (Rick Bryson); grandchildren, Raiden Gipson and Whimzey Gipson (Dalton Kincaid); great-grandchildren, Asher Kincaid and Jett Kincaid; sisters, Glenna Ellis and Connie McKown; brother, Daniel (Faye) Gipson; many nieces and nephews.

Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rainelle with Rev. David Harvey officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his son on his property at Gipson Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00 until time of service at the funeral home.
