Norma Dalton

Norma Lee Morgan Dalton, 83, of Second Creek, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026.

She was born March 29, 1943, in Ronceverte, West Virginia, to the late Corbie and Frances Masters Morgan.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 28 years, Franklin; her sister, Dreama, and brother-in-law, Raymond Glazzard; her grandson, Eric; and her best friend and aunt, Mary Ellen Masters of Caldwell.

She is survived by her sons, Frankie (Dru), and Pat (Lynn), and her daughter, Elizabeth Dalton, all of Second Creek, West Virginia; her grandchildren, Dalton, Emily, Will, Lance, Alex, Morgan, Hannah, and Thomas; and twenty great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Mike and Vickie Morgan, Jake and Diane Morgan of Harrisonburg, Virginia, and her sister, Jackie and Carl Cochran of Neola and several nieces, nephews and cousins that she loved as her own. She is lovingly remembered by her special cousin, Nancy Chaffin and family of Chillicothe, Ohio—she always beamed with happiness when spending vacations and visiting with her Chillicothe family—all of whom she loved deeply and fiercely.

Norma had a great love for adventure. She enjoyed working in the office at Greenbrier State Forest and took pride in being a wonderful homemaker. She spent much of her life camping, hiking, fishing, traveling, hunting, caving, riding horses, and sharing many, many hours playing Rook with friends and family.

Her love for her church family at Highland Park Church was deep and unwavering, and they gave so much of their lives in return, surrounding her with care and support as her health began to fail. That bond of faith and fellowship was a true comfort to her in her later days.

Mother, Mom, and MawMaw Norma will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the strength she showed so consistently, and the legacy she leaves behind in her family. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Until we meet again.
