Lanora Harless

Lanora R. “Nora” Harless, 66, of Rainelle passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Peyton Hospice House.

She was born on January 3, 1960 in Royal Oak, Michigan; she was the daughter of the late Walter Lee Harless and Lillian Faye Webb Harless.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a 2 brothers, Walt Lee Harless and John Harless, survived by his children, April, Ashton and Hunter.

Nora loved spending time with her friends and neighbors. She enjoyed being outside, especially ginsenging and she loved cooking. She will be missed by all her family, friends and neighbors.

Those left to cherish her memory are her; 2 daughters, Rachel Burdette ( Ronnie) of Meadow Bridge and their children, Halie, Darrelle, Troy and Brooke; Renee Donavan of Meadow Bridge and her son, Trey Lively; 2 sons, Wayne Surbaugh of Grassy Meadows, Paul Surbaugh (Mary) of Grassy Meadows and their children, Eli and Macy; 3 sisters, Lavana Thompson (Larry) of Grassy Meadows and her children, Travis Spearing and Chris Lack, Stevie Williams of Coal City and her daughter, Lori Brammer, and Lisa Harless of Meadow Bridge and her children, Raven, Dalton and Walter. She also leaves behind her dog, Tootie.

A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
