Sharon Schalk

Sharon Ann Schalk, 75, of Rainelle passed away on Tuesday night, March 31, 2026 at Rainelle Healthcare Center.

She was born on June 8, 1950 in Crystal Falls, Michigan; she was the daughter of the late Orval Arthur Utter and Dorothy Mary Process Utter.

In addition to her parents; she is preceded in death by a son-in-law, Lonnie Parrish; brothers, Ronald Utter and Douglas Utter.

Sharon attended the Minnie Belle Baptist Church of Corliss. She grew up and lived most of her life in Garden City, Michigan. She enjoyed quilting, canning and fishing. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 46 years, Richard James Schalk; daughter, Kimberly Parrish; son, Richard Henry, II (Connie); sister, Jeanne Mendrea (Dave); grandchildren, Chelsea, Katelynn, Richard III, Sarah, Hannah, Justin and William; 8 great grandchildren; extended family.

Service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rainelle with Pastor Justin Seay officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 until time of service.
