Thomas Claypool

Thomas Nelson Claypool, Sr., 83, of Catlett, Virginia passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026.

He was born on January 18, 1943 in Lawton, WV; He was the son of the late Herbert Bowd Claypool and Essie Mae Harmon Claypool.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Edward, Eugene, Elton, Clinton and David Claypool as well as his sister, Odessa Shuck.

He was a diligent worker and enjoyed working with his hands. He built a beautiful home for both him and his wife to live and retire. He loved reading and studying his Bible. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors.

Survivors are his wife, Audrey Claypool of Catlett, VA; daughter, Sharon Bogdan of Forest, VA; son, Thomas Claypool, Jr., brother, Cody (Katie) Claypool of Midland, NC; grandchildren and great grandchildren; extended family and friends.

Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Shuck Family Cemetery, Danese.
