Forrest Vass, Jr.

Forrest Edward Vass, Jr. “Eddie”, 72, of Ronceverte passed away February 24, 2026 at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.

He was born March 17, 1953 in Ronceverte and was the son of the late Forrest W. and Faye Holliday Vass, Sr.

Eddie belonged to Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was retired from the Greenbrier Hotel with 48 years of service. Eddie was a true family man, loving and supporting his wife, child and grandchildren. He was a collector of Fenton glassware, Nascar collectibles, amethyst rocks and coins.

Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Charles “Chuck” Vass.

Surviving Eddie are his loving wife Patty McQueen Vass; son Forrest E. Vass III (Leahiera); grandchildren, Nova Vass, Mekhi Smith, Jaxon Vass and Joel Arnold; sister in law, Valerie Field-Vass and nephews Charles Vass, Joshua Greenblatt and Nick Field.

Funeral services for Eddie will be held Sunday March 1, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte with Minister Billy Cumby officiating, interment will follow at the New Lebanon Cemetery, Pickaway.

The family will receive family and friends from 2:00 PM until time of services on Sunday March 1, 2026 at the funeral home.
