Edith Johnson

Edith Johnson, 87, went to be with the Lord on February 19, 2026 after a short illness. 

Before retirement, Edith worked as a waitress for 59 years, an occupation she loved. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Johnson. 

She is survived by one son, Lindsay Syner (Linda) of Ansted; one daughter, Martha Syner (Sajid) of Charleston; 2 grandchildren, James Settle, III of Concord, North Carolina and Shalena Settle of Sissonville, WV; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog Angel. 

A special thank you to her caretakers, Joyce and Nancy. Edith loved the Lord and was a true prayer warrior. 

In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no services.
