Howard Burr

Howard Elson Burr, 81, of Rupert, formerly of Corliss, passed away into heaven on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Rainelle Healthcare Center, Rainelle, W.V.

Born on May 7, 1944, in the East Rainelle Hospital, he was the son of the late Ida Armstrong Burr and Elson Burr.

Howard was a Christian and a member of the Minnie Belle Baptist Church in Corliss.

Howard is survived by his loving sister, Linda Burr, and many extended family members.

Per his wishes, there will be no services. He will be entombed in the Wallace Memorial Mausoleum at Clintonville.

His sister, Linda, wishes to thank Dr. Connie Anderson, the nurses, CNA’s, and all the staff at Rainelle Healthcare Center for making him feel comfortable, accepted and at home. God bless all of you for your kindness. It will be remembered.
