Joseph Crist, Sr.

Joseph Clarence Crist, Sr. 86, of Victor went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Summersville Regional Medical Center.

He was born on December 2, 1939 at Ramsey; he was the son the late Joseph Holt Crist and Irene Ramsey Crist.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Patsy Lou Legg Crist in 2020 and three sisters, Uldine Legg Parrish, Eva Crist Justice and Lois Crist Kelley.

Joseph was a member of Mt. Cove Missionary Baptist Church of Hico. He enjoyed fishing, coon hunting and enjoyed restoring antique cars.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Alisa (Tricky) Dix of Ansted, Serita Crist of Ansted, Kimmy (Steve) Jewell of Horseshoe; sons, Joseph (Kathleen) Crist, Jr of Ansted, Lloyd Crist of Beckley; 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild on the way; extended family.

Service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 1, 2025 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Ansted with Pastor Jeremy Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 until time of service at the church. Burial will be at a later date.
