Brenda Gipson

Brenda Fay Gipson, born December 14, 1946 went to her heavenly home on December 5, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James S. Gipson; her parents, Mitchell and Annie O’Dell; the father of her children, Thomas A. Alley; 4 sisters and a brother.

She is survived by her sister, best friend, and shopping companion, Linda Dotson Simms; her children: Darla Alley, Kevin (Arriel) Alley, Bruce (Kim) Alley, and Brett (Brandie) Alley; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; special daughters in love, Marie North and Heather Midkiff; several nieces and nephews, and her spoiled fur-baby, Chip.

Brenda was a wonderful mother, and Maw Maw. She spent 20 plus years as a dedicated homemaker, wife, and mother. She worked outside the home for many years as a postal clerk, waitress at the Tastee Freez, an insurance agent, and receptionist.

Brenda was a devout Christian, who worked in her church, Gordon Freewill Baptist, as a choir director/song leader, treasurer, and President of the Ladies Auxiliary.

Brenda, her sister, Linda, and special daughter in love, Marie North, sang for the Lord as the trio, Sounds of Praise.

Brenda leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to God, her family, and her church.

Services will be held at Wallace & Wallace, Rainelle on Monday, December 8, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jack Dempsey officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.
