Robert “Putt-Putt” Cochran

Robert “Putt-Putt” Shirley Cochran, 93, of Leivasy passed away on Thursday evening, August 27, 2026 at Rainelle Healthcare Center.

He was born on May 2, 1933 at Quinwood; he was the son of the late Robert Luther Cochran and Irene Mae Zopp Cochran.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Amick Cochran; sisters, Corenna Soos, Novella Trout and a brother, Sherman Cochran.

He was a truck driver, a loving father, grandfather and a friend to many.

Those left to cherish his memory are 2 daughters, Dawna (Roger) Bevins of Quinwood and Sherry (Carl) Gower of Carl; 4 grandchildren, Brittany, Chrissy, Robert (Katie), Tammy; several special nieces and nephews.

Service will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 31, 2026 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rainelle with Pastor John Mullens and Mr. Kenny O’Dell officiating .Burial will follow at Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery, Carl. Visitation will be 1:00 until time of service at the funeral chapel.
