Ben Gragg

Ben Austin Gragg 87, of Williamstown, WV passed away August 23, 2026 at Clarksburg Healthcare Center.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Carolyn Jones Gragg and his daughter and son in law, Christy and David Stout of Lost Creek.

He was born July 18, 1939 in Durbin WV. He was proceeded in death by his parents; Glenn D Gragg and Jeanne H Gragg, his brother Glenn “Blair” Gragg, and nephew Bryan L Gragg of Durbin, WV and his sister, Betty Jeanne Gragg Puffenbarger of Buckhannon, WV.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Williamstown and Masonic Lodge #124.

A graduate of Green Bank High School, Ben attended Potomac State College and was veteran of the Army. A true outdoorsman, he worked for the WV Department of Natural Resources for 34 years, achieving the rank of Captain prior to his retirement.

Family will receive friends on August 26th at Wallace and Wallace Chapel in Arbovale, WV at 1:00pm. Services will be held at Arbovale Cemetery at 230pm. Rev David Rittenhouse officiating.
