Robert Hayes

Robert Kenneth Hayes 93 of Neola passed away Saturday, August 15, 2026 at his home.

Robert was born December 15, 1932 at Helen, WV to the late Lonnie “Lon” and Cecilia Haga Hayes.

A jack of all trades, Robert loved to tinker with things, including painting, woodwork, plumbing, and anything electrical and he loved to study history. He was a retired electrician from Bethlehem Steel in Maryland. He was a Korean War Navy Veteran. But above all his love for God and family was his biggest love. He was an Elder at the Edgemere Church of God in Sparrows Point, MD and an Elder at the Neola Church of God.

He is preceded in death by sister, Lillian Moore and brothers, Jack Hayes and Richard Hayes.

Surviving include his wife of 63 years, Garnett Faye Rowe Hayes; daughters, Jennifer Lewis and husband Darryl, Kimberly Circolone and husband Nick and Shannon Cochran and husband Corbie; grandchildren, Olivia Lewis and husband Jesse Fletcher, Reagan Cochran, Ava Cochran and Danielle Miller and husband Ryan Miller; great grandchildren, Nicholas Miller and Lian Miller; brother, Bruce Hayes; special nephew, Jeff Wheeler and several nieces and nephews.

Robert’s wishes were to be cremated.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
