Kathleen Hylton

Kathleen Bray Falls Hylton, 79, of Ronceverte lost her battle with cancer at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital on May 22, 2026.

After her Mom’s passing in child birth, Kathleen went to live at Davis Stuart where she lived until she married the love of her life, Jesse Hylton. She graduated from Greenbrier High School, graduated from Beautician School at Huntington, WV.

She worked at Bowden’s Hair Salon in Ronceverte until she became co-owner of Hylton’s Bestway in White Sulphur Springs and Lewisburg Produce. Kathleen retired from there to be a stay at home wife/mother/grandmother.

Kathleen was faithful to her church, Elizabeth Chapel United Methodist Church having served in many offices. She also served for the Ronceverte Food Pantry. She was an avid seamstress and cook, mending for all her family, bonus children and so many more. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all that knew her.

Other than her parents, Harry F. and Dora J. Roach Falls she was preceded in death by her husband Jesse T. Hylton; siblings Shelvie Jean Wicks, Marry Norris, Lynn Geiger and Earl Dosier; father and mother in law, Ernest and Cinderella Morgan Hylton; brother in law Kenneth Hylton and sister in law Sharon Hylton.

Those left to cherish her wonderful memories are her sons, Wes (Marisa) Hylton of Ronceverte and Chris (Deanna) Hylton of Organ Cave, WV; grandsons, Talman (Hannah) Hylton of Mount Jackson, VA., Tyler (Malaysia) Hylton of Renick, WV., Logan Hylton of Charlotte, NC.; great grandson, Christian Talman Hylton, great granddaughter due in 8 weeks Anastasia Brae Hylton; siblings, Alfred Falls of Fayetteville, Tom Falls of Ronceverte, Bill Falls of Ronceverte, Dorothy Hylton (Duke) of Union, Ray Falls of White Sulphur Springs and Ginger Blackburn of Lewisburg; sisters and brothers in law, Sharon Hylton, Dorsey Hylton (Dorothy), Pat Brown (Gary), Vicky O’Brien (Paul), Danny Hylton (Sarah), Martha Snedegar (Tom), Anna Maria Brooks (Rodney), Doran Hylton (Wendy), and Jimmy Hylton (Teresa); numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Kathleen are scheduled for Wednesday May 27, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte with Pastor Sharon Howard officiating, interment to follow at the Morgan Cemetery, Ronceverte.

The family will receive family and friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Those that will serve as pallbearers: Wes Hylton, Chris Hylton, Talman Hylton, Tyler Hylton, Logan Hylton, Jimmy Hylton and Daron Hylton.
