Maxine Taylor

Maxine Gaye Taylor from Maple Fork, West Virginia passed away on May 19, 2026 at the

Raleigh Center in Daniels, West Virginia

Maxine was born September 27, 1951, in Beckley, West Virginia to Harry E. and Evelyn Jean

Rogers Davis.

She was married to Russell Lee Taylor who preceded her in death in 2011. She was also

preceded in death by her son, Russell Lee Taylor, II and a brother, Roger Lee Davis.

Maxine was a homemaker and attended church regularly. Her hobbies were sewing and

collecting photographs.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons: Jonathan Andrew (Kimberly) Taylor of Mt. Hope,

Micah Ira Taylor (Crissy Neely) of Maple Fork. A brother Benjamin Harris (Sasha) Davis of

Gastonia, North Carolina, and a sister-in-law Deloris Davis of Maple Fork, nine grandchildren

and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service for Maxine will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the

Wallace & Wallace Funeral Chapel in Ansted, West Virginia.

Family and friends may visit with the family from 1:00 PM until time of funeral service.

Interment will follow the service at Restlawn Memory Gardens at Victor, West Virginia.
