Andrew Fox, Jr.

Andrew Earl Fox Jr. “Bob”, age 95, of Maplewood WV passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg WV, following a short illness.

Born on March 30, 1930 at Lawton, WV, he was the son of the late Andrew Earl Fox, Sr. and Thelma Dorance Pitsenbarger Fox.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and was a member of the Meadow Bridge Pentecostal Holiness Church. Of his many jobs, the one he loved the most was teaching. He enjoyed going to family reunions, photography and working on the family tree. One of his favorite hobbies was woodwork that he started when he was still in high school.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Rose Marie Fox, Sisters, Juanita Louise Donelow, Cynthia Naomi Fox Smith, Sadie Eleanor Fox, Freda Wanda Fox, Lena Mae Fox Ward, Deloris Ann Fox Maynard, brothers, Johnny Granville Fox, Joseph Curtis Fox, Grandsons, Lucas Dale Stover and Vincent Arnold Haner, II.

He is survived by his sister, Ruth Marie Fox Fleshman (Roger) of Scarbro, WV, sons, David Wayne Fox (Mary) of Fairview TN, Leonard Dale Fox Sr. (Ann) of Memphis MI, William Howard Fox of Hazel Park MI, Charles Ray Fox (Deborah) of Alderson WV, daughter Karen Sue Workman (Lee) of Maplewood WV, 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Rainelle with Rev. David Chrisman officiating. Burial will follow at the Layland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 until time of service.
