Richard Peck

Richard Marshall Peck, 75, of Ansted passed away on March 22, 2026 at Plateau Medical Center.

He was born on April 3, 1950 at Marvel (Ansted); he was the son of the late James M. Peck and Frances Elizabeth Skaggs Peck.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Linda Pauley of Chelyan; 1St wife, Phyllis Martin; 2ND wife, Judy Bailey.

Richard was an Army National Guard veteran. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church of Sugar Creek. He was faithful in his Christian beliefs and went to church every time the door was open. He enjoyed sports, especially watching The Green Bay Packers. He loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be missed.

Survivors are his loving wife, Mary Hardy Peck; daughters, Patty (Bryan) Coffman of Beverly, WV; Beverly Nottingham of Ansted and Jessica (Clint) Gray of Oak Hill; sons, Ricky Peck of Ansted, David Peck of Ansted, Joey Peck of Fayetteville and Josh (Bethany) Houchins of Oak Hill; sisters, Alice Faye Jarrell of Chesapeake, WV, his twin sister, Rachel (Charles) Lester of Greenville , WV and Elizabeth (Melvin) Withrow of Ansted ; brothers, ; James Gary Peck of Ansted, Ralph Allen Peck of Ansted, Larry Wayne Peck of Ansted and Harold Raymond (Becci) Peck of Ansted; 17 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins; extended family and friends.

Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Ansted with Pastor Tim Skaggs officiating.  Burial will follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens, Victor. Friends may gather with the family from 1:00 until time of service at the funeral chapel.
