Beula Patterson

Beula Bennett Patterson, 100, of Ronceverte passed away on March 3, 2026 at Seneca Trail Healthcare Center.

She was born January 28, 1926 at Camden on Gauley and was the daughter of the late Pat and Florence Kerr Bennett.

Mrs. Patterson was an LPN and worked at the Cabell County Hospital in Huntington and was of the Baptist Faith.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; James Lee Patterson and Virgil W. Hanshaw, Sr.; daughters Madonna Hepler and Shelbia Jean Bayne and her son Virgil W. Hanshaw, Jr., grandson in law Fariborz Kasmai.

Surviving are her grandchildren; Marcia Navidi-Kasmai, Carla Maria Abate, and Carlos Meade Hepler and his fiancé Kathleen Ongena; great grandchildren Corey Austin Bailey, Matthew Casey Witt and Cailie Madison Sutphin (Kelly Sutphin) and their daughter Adelee Sutphin; son in law Carlos M. Hepler (Ruth); stepchildren; Joseph L. Patterson, Jr. (Cindy) and Sherri Browning; and special family friend Sue Fridley.

Funeral services for Mrs. Patterson will be Friday March 6, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Pastor Tim Dillon officiating.

A visitation will be held at the Seneca Trail Healthcare Center; 1115 Maplewood Ave., Lewisburg, WV 24901 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Friday March 6, 2026.

Following the visitation we will be travelling to the West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Route 55, Little Beaver Creek Road, Calvin, WV 26660 for her interment beside her husband James.
