Corena Martin

Corena Jewel Martin, 87, of Rupert passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026 at Summersville Regional Medical Center.

She was born on June 3, 1938 at Canvas; she was the daughter of the late Henry Edgar Hinkle and Sylvia Marie Vance.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons, Samuel Martin and Alvin Martin; a grandson, Shawn Martin; sisters, Doris (Clarence) Johnson and Irene Hinkle.

Survivors include her daughter, Sheree (J.D.) McClung ; son, Steven (Elizabeth) Martin; grandchildren, Shannon Bennett, T.J. (Starr) Martin, Lisa Martin, Christian Martin, Bobby Bennett, Lina Hoke, Austin Hoke, Bud (Regina) Martin and Angela Martin; Logan Martin and several other great grandchildren; sister, Delores Shafer; brother, Ronald Hinkle and extended family and friends.

Service will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel with Pastor Johnny Hamrick officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may gather with the family from 12:00 until time of service.
