E.V. Goode

E.V. “Diz” Goode, 89, of Lookout passed on Sunday, November 30, 2025 in Beaver, WV.

He was the son of the late Emory and Sarah Tully Goode.

In addition to his parents, Emory was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Williams Goode; sister, Gloria Van Winkle; brothers, Fred Goode and John Goode; and his favorite feline, Max.

Surviving him include son, Tim (Lisa) Goode of Meadow Bridge; grandchild, April Goode of Blacksburg, VA; nephew, John (Gail) Van Winkle; nieces, Linda Parsons, Vicki Van Winkle, Carolyn (Chris) Jones, and Barbie (John) Mills; a multitude of great – nieces and nephews and their families; and special good friends, Karen Grafton, Debbie and Russell Bennett of Lookout.

Emory was a veteran of the United Stated Air Force, a member of Mount Olive United Methodist Church in Lookout; was an avid woodworker, making things for many folks; and loved playing cards, pool, games of all types, and spending time outdoors. He had worked as an insurance sales manager.

Services will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Wallace & Wallace, Ansted at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Loudermilk officiating. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be from noon until time of service on Thursday.
