Billy Joe Kincaid, 77, of Victor left this world on Tuesday, November 18, while at CAMC Plateau Medical Center.
Born in Hico on July 23, 1948, Bill was the oldest child of the late William “Wheet” Kincaid and Mary Louise Hawver Kincaid DeLay.
Bill was a 1966 graduate of Ansted High School. He served in the United States Marine Corps in the Vietnam War. He worked as a coal miner, at a paper mill in Covington, VA, at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant in Radford, VA, at ACE Adventure Resort, at the Hawk’s Nest Golf Course, and at the Southern Appalachian Labor School (SALS). He was a good auto mechanic. Bill enjoyed cars and visiting and talking with people. He was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church.
Bill was proceeded in death by his parents; a sister, Karen Jean Wiley; and a brother, Bobby Lee Kincaid.
Bill is survived by a daughter, Donna (Kevin) Standifur of Princeton, WV and two grandchildren, Matthew Harvey and Samantha Harvey, and one great-grandchild, Amelia; a stepson, Stuart Basham; one sister, Terry Reed of Goldsboro, NC; and three brothers, Kenny (Mary) Kincaid of Victor, WV, Denny Kincaid of Lookout, WV, and Steve (Amy) DeLay of Williamstown, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 24 at the Chapel of Rest Mausoleum Chapel at the Restlawn Memory Gardens in Victor. Visitation will be at the chapel from 12 to 1pm. Pastor Steve DeLay will be officiating the service.
